Gulf Harbors is a wonderfully kept secret and a hassle-free base to enjoy everything Florida has to offer. The house is a few minutes from the delightful town of New Port Richey, and just a few miles from Tarpon Springs with its sponge docks and Greek restaurants. Several state parks are close by with a superb selection of beaches. Visit Howard Park in Tarpon or take a ferry from Honeymoon Island to Caladesi Beach (one of the top 10 beaches in America). Clearwater Beaches (30 mins) has miles of soft sand and everything from para sailing to speed boat tours.  Take a boat to the sandbar or Anclote Key. Plenty of local restaurants, shopping and sunsets! The Northern section of the coast up from Gulf Harbors is known as the Nature Coast, where a visit to the Crystal River to watch the manatees is a must.

Several state parks are close by with a good selection of beaches and children's play areas. Howard Park in Tarpon Springs has a great beach, take a blanket and watch the windsurfers, parking is free and there are two playgrounds. Weeki Wachee is about 40 minutes north and features "mermaid" underwater shows, bird shows and boat tours.

 The nearby city of Tampa offers many cultural, sports and entertainment options including Busch Gardens and Adventure Island. A large shopping mall is located near the airport.

Orlando is only a 90 minute drive away, so after a few days of hitting the parks, Windward Way is a great place to relax and unwind.

Passes are provided to give you access to the private beach with its covered pavilions, BBQ grills, restroom facilities and showers. Just a five-minute walk from the front door! Make sure to take time to catch a least one sunset, don’t forget your camera.

Exotic bird life is constantly on show. You will soon become accustomed to spotting pelicans, ibis and heron, without even leaving home.
